LAREDO, TX. (KGNS) - The legal back in forth to keep busses from bringing migrants to Laredo continues in federal court.

On Thursday, the court is asking the city to clarify the motion they filed on Wednesday.

This all began on July 16th when the city filed a lawsuit against the federal government to stop bringing migrants into the area.

Since then, nothing has happened except the courts gave the federal government extra time to respond.

On Wednesday, the city filed a motion to have an emergency hearing.

They say things have gotten worse since July 16th and to avoid restraining our already strained medical system, they asked the court to hear their case.

But on Thursday, the court is asking the city to explain the legal basis of their motion.

That means at this time the buses will continue to enter Laredo.

The city has until Friday at noon to explain their emergency motion.
